History

On spring break in 1989 Julio was looking for work to make some money, his friend Franco asked him to come along and answer a newspaper ad about a job near his high school. As he walked into Gold West Billiards in Orange, California he met owner Mr. Richard Johnson; without knowing to much about the type of work Julio will be doing he filled up an application. Shortly after Mr. Johnson accepted Julio and asked him if he was ready to move pool tables, to which he replied, “what? no? aren’t those things heavy?” to which Mr. Johnson quickly replied, “no, the pool tables come apart and become much lighter.” After he explained Julio accepted the position and started to work for Golden West Billiards.

With just the thought of working at Golden West Billiards for spring break, the temporary job turned into a life long interest as Julio learned more about pool tables day by day. Even after his first job being a 6’x12′ snooker table.

After 6 years passed of being the lead mechanic, Mr. Johnson called Julio into his office and mention the fact the they will be closing their doors for good. With a family to support, Mr. Johnson was great enough to show Julio how to open his own business, to which began Orange Billiards Service! With just a Ford truck and perseverance this business has turned into a 30+ year company!

From 7′ bar tables to 9′ professional tables we can assure a quality job from start to finish.
